PLASTICOS FOUNDATION - IN THE NEWS

FINDING THE BEST OF THE BEST

Selecting a well-trained, experienced and qualified plastic surgeon is an extremely important decision. As you probably know, our physicians belong to the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Inc. (ASPRS) which is a professional society dedicated to quality care for plastic surgery patients through education, research and the promotion of high professional standards. Belonging to ASPRS means they are also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Checking a doctor's qualifications and privileges at hospitals and medical centers is also an important, helpful way of checking eligibitity. However, the tried and true tale of talking to your friends or people who have had cosmetic surgery is most always an excellent resource.

Nichter’s deeds are not confined to foreign shores, however. He is a firm believer that charity begins at home. “ A short time ago, I spent half a day in surgery with a neurosurgeon to work on a child suffering from a very unusually shaped head,” he says. “ No bills were sent afterward. I did this purely as a labor of love.”
